Julee Resendez, founder and director of Van Belle, was born into the wine industry. A granddaughter of Washington State vineyard proprietors, she spent the summers of her youth tending the vines.
With a background in journalism and communications, Julee started her career in the hospitality industry with a great passion for wine. She developed the wine programs for New York City Michelin-starred restaurants Daniel, Bouley, and Marcus Samuelsson. Her wine lists and service styles have garnered praise from several media outlets, such as NYTimes, Atlanta-Journal Constitution and NY Post.
Julee spent six years working in corporate distribution, for Monsieur Touton and Southern Wine and Spirits, and later served as the Northeastern Sales Manager for Donati Wines, a family-owned winery. At Donati, she worked to develop their brand and expand their distribution in the region by 300 percent in one year.
